Antispasmodic technologies (dilatations)

Cut dilatations

The significant element that occurs in floors is to make dilatation. The cut dilatations must be planned earlier. Mostly, it is done during the floor design. The spacing of the cuts depends on many factors, but mainly on the type of reinforcement, concrete mix class, slab thickness, and loads. The thickness of the cut should be made up to 1/3 of the floor’s thickness. The crucial element is to have suitable protection of cuts made by bevelling the edge and filling with a permanently elastic material. Every few months, a review of dilatations made should be carried out, and any losses that result from the normal operation process should be completed.

Distal dilatation

They are made of foamed PVC with a thickness of 8 to 20mm. In some cases, these dilatations are made of styrodur e.g. for external surfaces. They guarantee the free floor work and eliminate the possible formation of cracks that may appear from the building structure, e.g. columns.

Dilatation profiles

Depending on the type, they are used in order to separate work fields or as passage profiles in halls or passageways. They allow for a free movement of floor fields caused by shrinkage and thermal influences. The profiles protect concrete edges from breaking under heavy loads, and dowels protect against keying. In our offer, you can find black, galvanized and stainless steel profiles, namely: simple, sinusoidal, and a special system of passage profiles and connections with old floors.

Dilated dilatations

They are used in order to separate daily work fields. Dilatations of this kind are most often used in outdoor surfaces. We make them using a special formwork system and smooth bars with a PVC cover. The diameter, length, and spacing of bars depending on the thickness of the pavement and the load.
